Refrigerator product certification in Ecuador
Refrigerator products are required to carry out Energy efficiency in Ecuador under the management of the Ecuadorian Standards Institute (INEN - Instituto Ecuatoriano de Normalización).
In addition, the OAE (Organismo de Acreditacion Ecuatoriano) - The organization reviews approvals abroad and produces review reports.
Note: Requires local representative.
Testing standards:
Energy efficiency: RTE INEN 35: on energy efficiency labeling of household refrigeration equipment (approved under Resolution № 18065 of 2018)
Note: Local testing is not required.
OAE recognizes certificates issued by organizations accredited by accreditation bodies that are signatories to the International Accreditation Agreement with the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and the Chamber Accreditation Cooperation Agency. international laboratory (ILAC) to which the OAE is a signatory.
Required documents:
- Manufacturer's declaration of conformity
- ISO 9001 certificate
- Test reports
- Reconicimiento OAE de ISO 9001 certificate (can be obtained through procedures at OAE)
- Copy of ID card
Energy label:
The energy efficiency label must be attached to the product.
