INEN (Safety), Energy Efficiency and ARCOTEL (Telecommunications) certification in Ecuador
PCN do Ecuador is a branch of our company in the Ecuadorian market, recognized by the SAE (Servicio de Acreditación Ecuatoriano)/IAF agency as a Certification Organization according to the product scope of the SAE CP 22-001 accreditation number as below:
Products: TV, Compact fluorescent lamp, General public lighting, Ductless air conditioner, Fan with electric motor with capacity less than or equal to 125 W, Microwave oven, Decoder, Cardboard Hair clippers and similar appliances, Vacuum cleaners, Household electric stoves and similar appliances, Household and commercial electric cooking appliances.
In addition, PCN del Ecuador has a Testing Laboratory recognized by SAE (Servicio de Acreditación Ecuatoriano)/IAF as a Testing Organization according to the product scope of the SAE recognition number LEN 21-008.
Below is the decision to recognize the certification organization, laboratory and the scope of accreditation of PCN del Ecuador:

In addition, PCN del Ecuador has a Testing Laboratory recognized by SAE (Servicio de Acreditación Ecuatoriano)/IAF as a Testing Organization according to the product scope of the SAE recognition number LEN 21-008.
Below is the decision to recognize the certification organization, laboratory and the scope of accreditation of PCN del Ecuador:

All products in the list requiring INEN - Instituto Ecuatoriano de Normalización certification must be certified and labeled before being sold on the Ecuadorian market.

Energy efficiency is also managed and regulated by the INEN Standardization organization.
Relevant standards and technical regulations apply to a number of regulated household appliances, lamps and components. Such products must demonstrate compliance with the relevant Technical Regulations and carry the corresponding energy labelling.
Product range: Fluorescent lamps, Dishwasher, Oven & microwave, Electric fan, Household refrigerator, Washing machine and Tumble dryer, Air conditioner, Television, Water heater, Split transformer distributor, Electric pumps and motors, etc.

3. Telecommunications Certification - ARCOTEL
ARCOTEL (Superintendencia de Telecomunicaciones) is the regulatory agency responsible for the management and control of telecommunications equipment. It also monitors the use of radio spectrum frequencies to ensure compliance with specific country resolutions.
Wireless products, telecommunications terminals, mobile devices, satellites and other PSTNs need to be approved and certified in Ecuador before being marketed.
Ecuador does not require domestic product testing, local representation, or specific product labeling.
