Certificate of conformity and energy labeling of Refrigerators in Vietnam
Refrigerator products must simultaneously carry out EMC certification and MOIT certification
1. EMC Certificate for Refrigerator
Regulations:
Refrigerators are on the list of products that require EMC conformity certification according to QCVN 9:2012/BKHCN and Amendment 1:2018 QCVN 9:2012/BKHCN.
– Circular No. 11/2012/TT-BKHCN: Circular promulgating “National technical regulations on electromagnetic compatibility for household electrical and electronic equipment and similar purposes” issued by the Ministry of Science and Technology. Technology issued on April 12, 2012.
– QCVN 9:2012/BKHCN and Amendment 1:2018 QCVN 9:2012/BKHCN – National technical regulations on electromagnetic compatibility for household electrical and electronic equipment and similar purposes issued by the Ministry of Science and Technology Science and Technology issued

Products Refrigerators, freezers and other refrigeration or freezing equipment, electric; Heat pumps used for household and similar purposes (Excluding products using 3-phase electricity). Include:
– Combination freezer (equipment with separate ice-making and cooling chambers), with separate opening doors. type for household use, capacity not exceeding 230 liters – HS code: 8418.10.11;
– Combination freezer (equipment with separate ice-making and cooling chambers), with separate opening doors. type for household use, capacity greater than 230 liters – HS code: 8418.10.19;

– Types with other interior designs: cabinets, drawers and similar types for storage and display, fitted with refrigeration or freezing equipment (Not suitable for medical, surgical or laboratory use) – HS code: 8418.50.99;
– Beverage cooling equipment – HS code: 8418.69.10;
– Cold water dispenser – HS code: 8418.69.30.

Process of certification of conformity to QCVN 9:2012/BKHCN:
Follow method 1: Test typical samples. In the certification process, there is an additional process of physical checking component

2. Refrigerator energy labeling
Regulations:
– Circular 36/2016/TT-BCT dated December 28, 2016 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade – regulations on energy labeling for energy-using vehicles and equipment.
– Decision 04/2017/QD-TTg dated March 9, 2017 of the Prime Minister (replacing Decision 51/2011/TTg dated September 12, 2011) the government approved the list of items that must be inspected for performance. energy and energy labeling according to the roadmap.
– Decision 14/2023/QD-TTg List of energy-using vehicles and equipment that must be eliminated and low-performance generating sets must not be newly built
Refrigerator product categories require energy labeling and testing standards:
– Refrigerators, freezers, household refrigerators: TCVN 7828:2016 and TCVN 7829:2016
– Commercial refrigerators: TCVN 10289:2014 and TCVN 10290:2014
