INMETRO is the abbreviation for the Brazilian National Institute of Industrial Metrology and Quality, responsible for certifying various product certification bodies (CBs). In addition, INMETRO defines different products and their respective requirements according to this certification program.
INMETRO Certification
INMETRO certification includes Safety, EMC and Energy Efficiency certifications. The Brazilian certification system is divided into mandatory certification and voluntary certification.
INMETRO mandatory certification is typically applied to products or services that may threaten human health, security or the environment.

The registration number issued by Inmetro must be affixed to the energy label.
