ANATEL Certification
ANATEL (Portuguese: Agência Nacional de Telecomunicações) is the national agency responsible for the approval of telecommunications products. Established in 1997 and as an approval and certification body, constitutes a mandatory authority for the marketing and use of products on the Brazilian market. The issuance of a Certificate of Conformity, which states that the product complies with Brazilian regulations, must be done through a Designated Certification Authority (OCD). This ensures that all relevant quality and safety standards have been met.
Mainly intended for telecommunications products, ANATEL certification divides products into three categories, while the control of products in category 1 is the strictest
Product range
- Class I includes end-user products, such as cell phones, lithium batteries, and chargers for cell phones and modems.
- Class II includes products that use radio frequencies (RF), such as radio transmitters, antennas, and Wi-Fi network equipment.
- Type Ⅲ : Among devices related to connection and networking between communication devices, products do not fall within the terms 1 and 2 (Optical fiber, Multiplex, Router, etc.)

Successful Anatel certification requires manufacturers to display the relevant certification label along with the approval number and Resolution 506 content on the product. According to Anatel's specifications, the label must be a minimum size of 4 mm.
