National technical regulation on electrical safety for telecommunications and information technology terminal equipment - QCVN 132:2022/BTTTT
On November 30, 2022, the Minister of Information and Communications issued Circular No. 24/2022/TT-BTTTT promulgating "National technical regulations on electrical safety for telecommunications and technology terminal equipment information".
This regulation applies to Vietnamese and foreign organizations and individuals engaged in manufacturing and trading of equipment within the scope of regulation in the territory of Vietnam, including:
Subjects covered by QCVN 132:2022/BTTTT include:
1. DECT phone (HS code 85171100)
2. Desktop computer (desktop PC) (HS code 84714110)
3. Digital cable TV signal decoder (HS code 85287111, 85287119, 85287191, 85287199)
4. IPTV set top box (HS code 85287111, 85287119, 85287191, 85287199)
5. DVB-T2 television receiver (DVB-T2 TiVi, iDTV) (HS code 85287292, 85287299)
6. Cable TV network amplifier (HS code 85176249)
Cordless phones (excluding DECT phones) (HS code 85171100)
7. Laptops (laptop PC, notebook PC) (HS code 84713020)
9. Tablet PC (HS code 84713090)
In addition, QCVN 132:2022/BTTTT is also issued with 18 Appendices on the following contents:
(1) Appendix A (Regulations) - Normal operating condition check, abnormal operating condition check and single fault condition check;
(2) Appendix B (Regulations) - Test generator;
(3) Annex C (Regulations) - Test conditions for equipment containing an audio amplifier;
(4) Appendix D (Regulations) - Ingredients;
(5)Appendix E (Regulations) - Criteria for telephone ring signals;
(6) Appendix G (Reference) - Overvoltage list (according to IEC 60364-4-44);
(7) Appendix H (Regulations) - Insulated winding wire without alternating layers of insulation;
(8) Appendix I (Regulations) - Safety interlocks;
(9) Appendix K (Regulations) - Disconnection of devices;
