NATIONAL STANDARD TCVN 5699-2-3 : 2010 HOUSEHOLD AND SIMILAR ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES - SAFETY - PART 2-3: PARTICULAR REQUIREMENTS FOR ELECTRIC IRONS


This standard deals with the safety of electric dry irons and steam irons, including those having a separate water tank or steam generator of a capacity not exceeding 5 l, for household and similar purposes, their rated voltage being not more than 250V.


Steam iron
Appliances not intended for household use but which nevertheless may be a source of danger to the public, such as appliances intended to be used by laymen in shops, in light industry and on farms, are also within the scope of this standard.
